WELCOME to Sword of the Word!

Sunday, April 30, 2017 was my final day as pastor of Peace Lutheran Church in Decatur, Georgia. We had a wonderful celebration of ministry and love with many friends from the community, legislature, partners in ministry and our Florida Georgia District President Greg Walton and his lovely wife Edith Walton. Sabrina Mckenzie came by to visit as did Karla Drenner and Candice. I look forward to beginning my new role of Vice President of Leadership and Campus Pastor at Concordia College New York. I will miss my family at Peace but look forward to expanding and enlarging the family at CCNY. Please continue in prayer for us and be assured that we will continue in prayer for our partners.

Blessed coming New Year 2017. Please feel free to join the people of Peace Lutheran Church for worship. They remain in the business of fanning into flame the gifts of God within the people of God. Rich blessings and peace . . .

He delivered mosquito nets and the Gospel. Click this link for a full narrative on the trip and to see pictures of the distribution. Thank you for your support of our ministry to South Sudan through Rev. Deng. has suspended service so we are no longer doing a live webcast. We will let you know when we are back online. Thank you for your support and stay tuned for upcoming broadcasts.

In the Year of our Lord 2014 we at Peace Lutheran Church are praying for the Lord to Rebuild His Temple. We are in the process of renovations to our physical plant and then we will move to Rebuilding the Spiritual temple of our faith in Jesus as Lord. I thank you for your support and invite you to continue to take this journey with us, in Jesus' name. Amen.
